- Managing Permanent Reserved Forest in line with forest management concept permanently.
- Implementing management and development of forest resources programs and its concervation.
- Implementing policies and enforcement on forestry law .
- Collecting royalty and forest revenue.
- Managing eco-tourism products in the Permanent Reserved Forest.
- Supervising the establishment and progress of wood based industry along with other forest based products.
- Implementing and helping forest based educational and development programs.
- Managing Perlis State Park.
- Carrying out general administration obligations.
