Herbal Forest Introduction
 
Established in year 1998 with an area of 12 hectares, Herbal Forest functions as a place for medicinal plants use by locals especially and other medicinal plant. It also can be turn into a medicinal plant museum where this garden is opened to visitors all over the country that want to know more on the type and usage of these plants. Collections of plants available here consist of wild plants, plants from other places and medicinal plants which originated from other countries that had been made available in this state.

Untill today, the Herbal Forest collection have reached more than 700 species. Between  the famous medicinal plant found here are Tongkat Ali, Kacip Fatimah, Cekor, Halia, Serai, Mengkudu, Selasih, Cinnamon and others. 

Perlis is a state located northern most in Peninsular Malaysia and bordering Thailand in its southwest side. With area 81,086ha, it is the smallest state in Malaysia and is an agricultural state is based on  its agricultural area and amount of labour force in this field.
 
Some plant here are usually found around the house such as Hibiscus, Bunga Tahi Ayam, Senduduk, Pokok Kapal Terbang, Sireh, Kesom, Pinang and Pisang. They are displayed here to edubcate visitors on the real value of medicinal plants to mankind
